We don't think you should have to pay to pass Stage 1. But studying alone is hard, and some people learn better with something testing them and showing them where the gaps are. Stage 1 is a theory test, and passing it is on you. Most trainers will tell you to buy a couple of books, study on your own, sit the test, and come back when it's done. They're not wrong. You can pass Stage 1 with free RSA material and one or two guidebooks, and we'll show you exactly which ones below. We don't charge for Stage 1 preparation, and we never will.
